First release
This might be the most chaothical game release ever.
The game was finished months ago but since it is based in a comic book the release date should be the same than the comic publication which will be next year. But somebody had the great idea to invite us to a sort of tech-fest and publisher said that is the date of release.
Nuts.
Not too bad since the things were done but we’re noobs about how to release a game in Itch.io. Ok, La Cita is out there but it was just a Jam entry so it doesn’t count. I want to do it correctly so I was reading through the huge Itch documentation about game publishing in order to use the app properly and there are a few things that I still don’t get.
What does it mean? Well, if you follow Piopio or the game then you should fasten your seat belts because in the next weeks there’ll be a lot of movement.
First of all we plan to add the mentinoned Itch app support so you’ll be able to install and uninstall it and also update it. Then an update of the classic Windows installer as it hadn’t include the English language (still in the translation table) and also should include a clue about the Konami Code we forgot to mention (Did we? I think we didn’t).
Then will came the native Linux version. Actually the development were made on Linux so it should work seamlessly. The problem is to include all the stuff the game needs to run (you know, libraries and all that). Not as easy as it sound.
But that’s not the end of the story: The game engine used is still under development (We used an alpha version! We’re brave!) and next version promises interesting improvements, such as a better renderer that should get rid of the few glitches found when running in some systems. So maybe next year a new version of the game will be released.
That’s all at the moment. Enjoy.
